Black Medick

Common name : Black medick

Latin name : Medicago lupulina

A member of the Pea family (Fabaceae)

A very small yellow flower that looks like a yellow clover. Often spotted low growing in verges and grass. There are a few similar species often with seeds varying in shape and size. Black medick has a tiny (mucronate) point at the end of the leaf

You may also see “spotted medick” which has a black spot on each leaf.
