Last Wood and meadow signboards on their way!

Funding is now in place for new signboards at the Last Wood and meadow site!

The Friends of Last Wood and Meadow group are grateful for the generous funding from Seaford Rotary Club, as well as Lewes District Council, and Seaford Action For Nature (funded by OVCA) This will go towards two interpretative signboards which are shortly to be installed in much loved local green space, Seaford’s ‘Last Wood & Meadow’. These sign boards will show all visitors how the area is being actively managed for the community and for nature.

On 25th March a cheque presentation took place on site, in locations where the signboards are to be erected. Pictured here (right) is the Seaford Rotary President, Clive Livingstone, handing over a cheque for £500 to Friend of Last Wood & Meadow, and local invertebrate specialist, Mike Kerry. Also present are local ecologist, and supporter of the project, Jon Curson, and, in the second photo, Rodney Reed, Seaford Rotary’s Community Leader. You can read more about it here

Seaford Action For Nature are also contributing £300 to the project, thanks to OVCA funding.
